This is Natalie Jo Concie (York, Erikson)
So many girls I know, say things like "I Can't believe I am turning out just like my mother!", For me this is only half true but I still feel I get some of my most attractive traits from my mom. She is kind, loving, street savoy, She is the hardest worker, She is creative, she is a problem solver and someone who worries way to much.
She also has a great butt. :D
I GETS IT FROM MY MOMMA.
So lets tell a back story...
My mother is THE strongest woman in my life, Day to day my mom is like everyone else in this world, trying her best to make a life, learning from the past, letting it go and trying to be a better person every day. My mother on what I would say is a superhuman basis has saved lives. She has saved a neighbor from dying alone in her apartment, Saved a friend from drowning and in every heart pumping dangerous situation I have seen her in has remained calm and collected.
When I was 16 my mother experienced a trauma that I still to this day cannot fully fathom, I cannot believe this thing happened so close to home, both literally and emotionally. On March 12th 2007 my mothers significant other shot him self in the head with a hand gun. Leaving my mom with the guilt and vivid memory's. She was alone to pick up her pieces.
Of course our family came to her aid, but I don't think that any person who helped bring my mother back to life after she had lost it all, would say that they really "got" what she was going through.
Fast Forward: March 21st 2014 Seven years and nine days later; My Momma, My Moose (mother Goose) Wore a Cap and gown for the first time and graduated From Interface College.

Mom and My Future Step Daddy Sam :D |
After seeing countless doctors my mother was told she needed major surgery, she spent the next two years at home trying to recover well enough to go back to work to no avail. As she was struggling she lost her apartment and had to move in with a roommate.
No one likes living with roommates, but this friendship turned abusive. On January 30th 2013, My Mother called me asking for help. She had no where to go, she had nothing but the clothes on her back and I told my her "Mom, your safety is the most important, just get on a bus and come home"
She did just that, she came to live with me. It was hard at first, being that I have been out on my own fora very long time I was not used to having any parental figure in the house, reminding me of my own responsibility.
within the first month my mom was enrolled as a full-time student, and working very hard to re-educate her self to obtain employment out-side of what all her experience was in. For the better of thirty years my mother worked in the food-service industry as a waitress/ bartendar.

Receiving her Diploma |
They Say life begins at fifty, I know that seems so simple. I know that seems so harsh. But here you are Mom, You turned fifty last month and look, your life has started. You know who you are, you know who you want to be and that in it's self is an amazing thing. You are the strongest woman I know, You have taught me; to put on my big girl panties and deal with it. To look past the present and keep trekking towards success. I may have inspired to you go to school, but you inspire me to finish it.
You inspire me to follow my dreams because they are valid,
Because I am like you, Momma,
Strong willed and ready for anything.
