10 things we should be Thankful for; all the time.

So I am sure everybody in this blogging biz, is posting something or other about what they are thankful for;
I am sure that most of those things will be something like 1. My Family 2. My house, blah blah blah...

Well my list is a little different this year, My list is something I hope to share with others and create some empathy. By that I mean, here are some things we should all be thankful for not only on this holiday, but all the time.

1.AMERICA

We live in America, Possibly one of the worst places on the planet, well at least when it comes to moral objective. We are consumers, and we buy. We are capitalists because (who does not want to be successful) and who does not like money. But despite the decisions of the government or the people in charge, We are still a country of dreamers.  Sure Immigration reform is a real topic, and has solid issues in which the American people need to address, but the people trying to make their way into our borders, want a better life. I am pretty sure that's what the pilgrims wanted when they set sail, right? We are spoiled! As an average American, I am pretty thankful that I don't have to look at my meat right in the eyes before preparing it for a family meal. Though as AMERICAN'S we have the right to raise our own turkey and eat it for thanksgiving.

In America, we get to choose who to be through the brands that we buy, When some people in African Tribes prefer to use scarification to be unique and also fit in with the rest of their people.

Girls; Be thankful that, you have the option to better your self. No matter where you are in life within the borders of America you have all the options and help you need to make a good life. Whether you are a teen mom, or a girl from a prestigious family; WE can be ANYTHING. Some people say we still live in a very patriarch society, in caparison to India or China, we actually have a CHANCE! Girls in other countries who are unwed mothers still die, and in other places don't make it to a week old, just for being a girl. Be thankful you live in a place with a chance to marry the man of your dreams, to be a career woman and change the industries as we know it. Be thankful for homeless shelters dedicated just to women and children like us, you never know if you would need them some day.
Thanks America, for caring for our ladies :D
Anyway, America F*** YEAH.

That's how it goes. When you think about your circumstances here in comparison to those in the world, we have it pretty freakin good.

2. The Internet

We have the internet, the whole world at our finger tips, the ability to share our deepest thoughts and opinions with people from every walk of life, though sometimes we share to much. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE. Just kidding!  :D
But seriously, We can be who ever we want online. We can game and get lost in a world of warcraft, we can play with our friends and save the world, anybody can be a super hero.

We can make someone laugh who is having a hard day, and listen to that stupid song that has been stuck in our head all day. We can make Art, and share it with the world and update our friends and family about how we are doing.

The Internet was created to keep us connected, though the plan backfired. But the silly thing about the internet is; we chose to do it that way! We have an importunity to connect to people of similar backgrounds and collaborate with some the most brilliant people in the world. Its right in front of us, if we choose to use our powers for good and not evil :).

Thank you Internet, this Blog would not be here without you!

Okay enough with the long explanations, I am gonna name a few things I am thankful for that I am sure most of you can relate too.

3. Refrigerators- We would not have those left overs without them. Turkey sandwich!! YUM.
4.Parades- Who even knows why we need them, but we like um'

5. Our Parents, Did you know 10 out of ten people without biological parents don't exist? We all have been guaranteed one gift, (life). Whether you are an orphan, and adopted child or love and know your parents. They gave us, our life. It is our choice how to live it. Thank them for that, no matter how close or how far they are.

6.Children- Children still teach us, they tech us how to live outside the box. To use our "Imagination". They teach us strength and wonder. The children of our world preserve the creativity the drives us as adults to accomplish our dreams and make the world a better place. Children are born with Tolerance it is what we teach them that makes them intolerant.

Thank you Budda for all the little children!

7. Hippies- So maybe they smell like skunk and dress silly, Thank who ever is listening that there are still individuals in this life who believe in peace and happiness. who are thankful for what they have, we could learn some things from those people. I know I have.

8. Slippers with hard bottoms- Like being warm? Like your feet staying dry? like saving on your electric bills? Like going to check the mail in your bath robe? Anyway, you get the point, slippers are awesome!

Thank you guy who invented slippers!

9. Whiskey- ( or whatever your particular poison) Work hard, play hard and be thankful for the time you have to do it. Celebrate your triumphs and morn your failures. But Do it with good friends who love you and want whats best for you.

10. Be thankful that you have something to be thankful for. It can always be worse, be grateful everyday and I promise you will be happier. When what you have is enough. There will always be more.

Now on to some personal things I am thankful for.

My house, its mine. I decorated it. Its a home when you walk in, and I hope all who come into my house feel welcome there.

My friends, I am surrounded by brilliant people who consistently pick me up when I am down, and believe in my talent and passion.

My dog, She is my best friend, and  I will take her anywhere.

My Mom, she has had a life worthy of a lifetime movie, with less drama but more trauma. She is the strongest person I know. She rose above half a life time after she started, but it just takes some of us a little longer. I don't know what I would have done without out her example.

I am thankful for there always being a next step, a new goal and one more thing to keep me busy. Life would be boring without it!

Be thankful, Always.
